Alumnus Bob Gamgort visits the SMIF class

On February 10, 2026, the Student Managed Investment Fund had the pleasure of welcoming Bob Gamgort for a lunch event.

Bob is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP). Previously, he served as KDP’s Executive Chairman from April 2024 to April 2025 and as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board from the formation of the Company in 2018 to April 2024. Under his leadership, KDP emerged as a leading beverage company in North America, with inclusion in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100. He was previously CEO of Keurig Green Mountain following its take-private transaction in 2016.

His 35-plus year career in consumer products and entertainment includes positions as CEO of Pinnacle Foods, North American President of Mars Inc., and President of Major League Baseball Properties, as well as a progression of marketing, sales, strategy and general management roles at Kraft Foods and its predecessor company General Foods.

Mr. Gamgort serves on the board of the Sherwin-Williams Company. He formerly was a Board member of Wayfair Inc., Trustee for Bucknell University, Director for the New Jersey State Employment Training Commission and Trustee for Schiff Natural Lands Trust.

Bob holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a BA in Economics from Bucknell University and studied at the London School of Economics.

He has been recognized for his influence in marketing, sports business and the beverage industry, including BEVNET’s “Person of the Year” award.

During Bob’s visit, students gained valuable knowledge about risk, maximizing shareholder value, and the distinctions between public and private company involvement. Additionally, Bob engaged the students in a thoughtful discussion on the importance of trust and how it can be recognized.

The class is deeply grateful to Bob for taking the time to share about his experiences and offer crucial insights as a leader in the industry.
